Abu Dhabi Media Company launched the first issue of Majid magazine in 1979, initially as a weekly publication, transitioning to a monthly format by the end of 2019 and catering specifically to children aged 4 to 12 years old.
In 2009, a dedicated website was launched to enhance reader engagement with the magazine. In 2015, Majid TV was introduced to further expand its reach.
The magazine has significantly influenced children's journalism by blending educational and entertaining content, promoting positive values and constructive entertainment.
Majid magazine stands out in the world of children's journalism due to its iconic characters, such as Kaslan, Fudouli, Abu Al-Dhafa, Ammouna, Captain Khalfan, Fahman, and Zakia.
Today, Majid continues to grow its media presence through its broadcast and online platforms, including a YouTube channel and social media accounts, boasting over one million followers on Facebook.
