Abu Dhabi Media discusses prospects for media cooperation
15 May 2017In the context of the strong relations between the two countries, H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media, and H.E. Wael Gad, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United Arab Emirates, have met to discuss the means, and joint media programs that would serve the efforts of both parties to advance the media industry both locally and regionally.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Abdul Hadi Al Sheikh, the Executive Director of Television at Abu Dhabi Media, Mr. Mohammed Al Hammadi, the Executive Director of Editing and Publishing, Editor-in-Chief of Aletihad Newspaper, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Harthi, the Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Radio Network and Mr. Abdulraheem Al Bateeh, Head of International and Government Relations.
The meeting tackled the key role played by the UAE media and its Egyptian counterpart in defining the status of Arab and international media, and the potential means to attract the attention of youth in general and motivate the Arab youth in particular to be involved and follow the Arab news of interest to them. The meeting also discussed the importance of the media content directed at children, in pursuance of creating meaningful content in an innovative way that contributes to the upbringing of emerging generations.
The meeting also discussed the need for exchanging media experiences between both sides, which will contribute to promoting best practices in the region.
During the meeting, the two sides focused on the importance of providing an appropriate mechanism for the exchange of exclusive media programs and materials between Abu Dhabi Media and the Egyptian TV channels.
