Al Quran Al Kareem Radio from Abu Dhabi covers Hajj season with a special program cycle
9 August 2017Abu Dhabi Radio Network’s Al Quraan Al Kareem Radio from Abu Dhabi, part of Abu Dhabi Media, has announced preparations to cover the Hajj season through an extensive program cycle, including a selection of up to 12 religious programs and segments.
The new program cycle, which begins in August, focuses on providing general and health guidance to the pilgrims, as part of the Radio’s ongoing commitment to its audience, and considering its regional position in terms of the size of its listeners and followers.
“Al Quran Al Kareem Radio from Abu Dhabi seeks to present radio content in a specialized program format, that meets Abu Dhabi Media objectives and its media approach, which focuses on providing purposeful content" said Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Tunaiji, Head of station, “The Hajj season program cycle this year came to satisfy the needs of pilgrims heading to perform Hajj rituals, especially those going for the first time.”
He pointed out that on setting its new cycle program timings, Al Quran Al Kareem Radio took into consideration the ability of the audience to listen and benefit from its programs. He added that Haj programs have always been supported by reverend scholars and preachers in the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments who oversee the Radio content and programs as part of the ongoing cooperation and coordination between Al Quran Al Kareem Radio and the Authority.
Al-Taniji concluded that the programs included in this year’s Haj Season Cycle varied in their contents and dealt with the concept of Hajj in a terms of Sharia, convention and rituals as a pillar of Islamic faith.
"Khuthu ‘anni Manasikakom" ((Take your rituals from me))
It is a jurisprudential program that seeks to educate audience about Hajj rituals and to shed light on its structure, conditions and commendable practices by reviewing the chronology of pilgrims’ practices and rituals from the beginning to the end of the season.
“Shatha Al Itr Min Nafahat Al Ashr”
Aimed at raising audience awareness of the virtues of the first ten days of Dhu'l-Hijjah and their commended habits and attributes. It urges listeners to draw closer to Allah Almighty especially during these days with all kinds of worship and prayers, such as invocation of Allah and honoring the rituals of Hajj and the virtue of fasting as well as the virtues of the Day of Arafah.
“Al Hajj Ayat wa Hedayat”
This program deals with Hajj and its rituals by highlighting certain verses that dealt with the conditions, rules and pillars of Hajj in a simplified and brief explanation. The program acts as a beacon to light the way of the pilgrim, to find the path to Allah Almighty and sense the meanings of the true religion in his journey and achieve the purposes of Hajj rituals.
“Wamadhat Nabawiyya min Hajj Khairul Bariyya”
The program shows the audience bright flashes of the stories, behaviors and actions of the Prophet - peace be upon him - during the Hajj season, where they will learn about the most important virtues of Hajj and its ethics. The show will cover the characteristics and attributes of Hajj as performed by the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, so that audience can understand the truth of sincere servitude to Allah Almighty, take their need from the purity and divinity of those attributes, and learn lessons in tolerance, mercy, love and peace.
“Fiqh Al Nisaa in Hajj”
This is a jurisprudential program dealing with the most important contemporary ordinances and issues related to the Hajj for Muslim women.
“Ayyam Min Al Hajj”
An admonitory program which highlights the blessed days of Hajj starting from the day of al-Tarwiyah through to the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm Al Nahr) and ending with the last days of Tashreeq; through which we learn about the names of those blessed days, the reasons why they were so named and what pilgrims should do during these days. The program takes the audience to feel the atmosphere of the Holy Land and live moments of faith in their heart and spirit and share the feelings of the Pilgrims to the House of Allah while they perform their rituals between Makkah, Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafah in a joyful manner and beautiful performance.
“Al Hajj, Seerah wa Ibrah”
A narrative program that follows the path of the prophets and the righteous people. It takes us to experience the obedience of Ibrahim, the certainty of Hagar and the righteousness of Ismael peace be upon them all. The program cycle also includes flashes and segments of Islamic faith inspired from Hajj under the title of “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik”.
“Eidiyyat”
This program brings the audience during Eid al-Adha, reminders of the religious significance of Eid, its moral values, its patriotic dimensions, and its social and educational messages.
“Yastaftounak”
A daily program that comes to you with the finest scholars from the Official Fatwa Center of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, to present the jurisprudential judgments of Hajj as learned from the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him and conveyed to us by his companions, to experience them firsthand. The program receives questions of fatwa seekers and answers them with ease, simplicity and moderation.
“Sabahu-l-Nour” ((Good morning))
Al Quran Al Kareem Radio introduces the “Sabahu-l-Nour” program, broadcast every morning from Sunday to Thursday, to serve the rites and rituals of this blessed occasion and to provide all the details related to the news of pilgrims and latest developments on the subject.
“Live from Makkah”
Al Quran Al Kareem Radio presents from the Holy Land in Makkah during the pilgrimage season two live programs: the first "Fi Rihab Makkah" which airs at 2:30 pm and continues for one hour, will host representatives of the UAE Official Hajj Mission for interviews on the services provided to the UAE pilgrims during Hajj days, in addition to a number of scholars to talk about the rituals and pillars of Hajj; the second program "Yastaftounak" will broadcast live from Makkah on daily basis and at the same time at 5:00 pm.
Al Quraan Al Kareem Radio allocated live broadcast hours on the blessed Day of Arafah, where the live broadcast will be divided into two periods, the first of which begins at 12:00 noon UAE time, and includes a live commentary that monitors the faithful and spiritual atmosphere among the pilgrims on the greater Hajj day until the transfer to the Nemra masjid to broadcast live the Arafah ritual along with Dhuhr and Asr prayers (Qasr and Jama’). The second period will begin at 4:00 pm, and includes a live commentary that reflects the spirit of the place and time of this great blessed day. Officials of the official Hajj mission will also be invited to talk about the services and facilities offered to the UAE pilgrims at the Holy Land. Live broadcast continues until pilgrims descend from mount Arafat to Muzdalifah.
