Majid Kids of Abu Dhabi TV network unveiled its listings for the summer season. The listings include a variety TV series and films for kids of all ages. This reflects the channel’s efforts of focusing on rich content that combines education and entertainment and is consistent with the society's norms and values in the UAE and the Arab World.  

Majid Kids explained that its listings will include the second season of Sofia the first series which is broadcasted on a daily basis at 11:30 a.m. and rerun at 2:00 p.m..  The series is about a young girl named Sofia whose mother marries a king. She has lived a peasant life but now she should adjust her life to live in a palace as a royal member. The series highlight the challenges that Sofia faces through comedic funny situations and challenges.   

The channel will broadcast Sheriff Callie's Wild West on daily basis at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.  The series tells the adventures of female Sheriff Callie while she tries to solve all the problems facing her friends at a village of the American Wild West with the help of Deputy Peck; a woodpecker that accompanies her. She aims to help her friends to remain happy and in agreement with each other at a background of beautiful songs and music.      

In addition, the channel will broadcast Season II of Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H daily at 4:30 p.m. and the rerun will be at 8:00 p.m. The series features Hulk; a superhero who forms a team of his superhero friends to fight the evil in exciting adventures while our superhero tries to communicate a message that he is not just a green monster and that he seeks to employ his power to bringing good to the world.     

The channel continues to broadcast the National Geographic Kids section, which includes rich educational videos specifically designed for kids covering various areas of science, nature and wild life at the nighttime starting at 9:00 p.m. for two consecutive hours. The channel has other series and programs featuring a collection of the channel characters such as the adventures of Majid, Kaslan, Amoona Al Maziona, Captain Khalfan and Forensic Team, and Girl School as well as some popular and favorite series and programs such as The Dragon, Uncertain Future, Transformers, the Travels of Young Marco Polo, Chop Chop Ninja, Ants, etc.          

Majid channel was launched in September 2015 to continue the successful journey of Majid magazine that came out 39 years ago. The channel aims to broadcast programs and animations prepared in cooperation with local and world partners to develop perception in children and encourage them to innovate. This would support the locally-produced Arabic content for children entertainment.  The channel is the top across the Middle East with the intellectual property rights it has to a huge library of cartoon characters associated with the magazine since the 1980s.
