Dr. Sarah Kazem.. Founder of the Department of Toxicology at Rashid Hospital
15 May 2017Abu Dhabi TV presents the weekly documentary Emaratiya B’Imtiyaz "An Emirati Woman with Distinction" every Tuesday at 7:30 pm UAE time (06:30 KSA).
The twelfth episode will host Dr. Sarah Kazem, the first UAE female toxicologist in the UAE and one of the first to establish the first toxicology department at Rashid Hospital in Dubai. Our camera tours around with her watching closely the nature of her accurate and professional work with intoxicated patients in the Emergency Room. We shot a real-time critical patient treated by Dr. Sarah. We also go with her to the lecture room at the Training Department of Rashid Hospital to learn about her academic experience with medical students after giving a live lecture on poisoning. Then our camera visits her in her home to learn about her personal life by interviewing her friends outside work, to know more about her personality.
The “An Emirati Woman with Distinction” show has presented different examples of Emirati women who excelled in exceptional domains and first appeared on television to share their success stories with the community. The show hosted H.E. Ambassador Dr. Hessa Abdullah Ahmed Al Otaiba, Aisha Al Hamli, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the International Civil Aviation Organization, Ayesha Al-Memari, the first Emirati physician to specialize in emergency medicine, Afra Al Basti, member of the Federal National Council, Dr. Umniyat Al-Hajri, Consultant of Diabetes and thyroid diseases, and Fatima Al Kharousi the first female UAE citizen to work as an airport operations manager in Japan.
The show is broadcast on Abu Dhabi TV.
