Abu Dhabi Media organizes special coverage to support the campaign “For you Somalia” next Friday

Abu Dhabi Media has announced a special coverage organized by Abu Dhabi TV Network’s News Center of the charity campaign "For You Somalia", where it will provide live broadcast of the fundraising campaign to be held on Friday, April 21 across the UAE, in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent Authority.

Abu Dhabi Media pointed out that this special coverage comes in line with the guidance and directives of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the close follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority, to raise funds to aid millions of Somalis who are living under sever health conditions as a result of the lack of food and life needs due to the repercussions of the events there.

“The involvement of Abu Dhabi Media by covering the “For You Somalia” campaign is part of our responsibility towards communities and regional and global issues. It is also an integral part of our message and strategy aimed at reinforcing and spreading the culture of charity" said Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media".

He further pointed out that supporting this campaign and similar charity events is a national duty encouraged by our wise leadership to support the brothers and friends and help those who are in need and draw a smile of hope on their faces.

The broadcast of the fundraising campaign will start on Al Emarat TV of Abu Dhabi TV Network at 02:00 pm and will continue till 08:00 pm, with intermittent joint broadcast with Dubai TV from 04:00 pm till 06:00 pm and Sharjah TV from 06:30 to 07:30 pm

The news center in Abu Dhabi Media has completed all the preparations for the joint broadcast of the various UAE channels of the “For you Soumalia” campaign. A selection of officials and public figures will be hosted to accompany the coverage at the studio both from the UAE Red Crescent and the Somali Embassy along with other influential Somali figures whether inside the UAE or from Somalia with Maktoum Mohammed, who will provide us with the reality footage of the tragic situation in Somalia and magnitude of destruction to the infrastructure in Somalia, as well as some religious figures who will be in the studio.

The broadcast will include a series of TV reports and documentaries prepared to show the suffering of various groups of the Somali community from the destruction of its streets and buildings to what has contributed to the escalation of the crisis and the suffering the Somali citizens who lack food and basic life need due to the events in Somalia.

The Abu Dhabi radio network is also covering the campaign through its various stations and programs. Abu Dhabi Radio will be broadcasting live, while “Emarat Al Aan” and “Hassad Al Nashra” news bulletins will be devoted to follow the event, in addition to special news reports and flashes showing the campaign’s slogan.

Abu Dhabi Radio will interview concerned officials about the importance of this campaign while providing extensive coverage through its team of correspondents across the donation reception points.

Abu Dhabi Media has confirmed its readiness to provide maximum support to the humanitarian campaign by covering donations from various areas of the campaign in the capital city of Abu Dhabi and through its team of correspondents who will be at the fundraising centers as well as the main contact center at the Red Crescent Authority’s premises.

The social media channels of Abu Dhabi Media will also cover the campaign through a series of tweets and live interaction with social media influencers. A hashtag will also be launched for the campaign to provide further publicity and reach.
