Abu Dhabi Media welcomes a student delegation from the esteemed Young Arab Media Leaders Program

Abu Dhabi Media welcomed a delegation from the Arab Youth Center, heading the Young Arab Media Leaders Program. Organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, the program is now in its second year.

 

Abu Dhabi Media simultaneously organized a seminar entitled Arab Youth and Year of Zayed which was moderated by HE Dr. Ali bin Tamim, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media and attended by 100 students from various Arab universities in the UAE and abroad. HE Dr. Ali bin Tamim discussed the vision of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan that played an active role in establishing Abu Dhabi Media. Sheikh Zayed’s heritage has contributed greatly to building the national media image of the UAE which represent a genuine image of the country.

 

HE Dr. Ali bin Tamim extended his sincere gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs on endorsing the program. He also asserted that the program provides an important opportunity for the Arab youth to explore the media sector and develop their careers and how the UAE will always open doors to the youth where they can fulfill their aspirations and dreams.

 

He also stressed that the next stage is especially important for the media sector as it has to overcome challenges and protect the Arab media message. He also commended the current efforts for developing the media sector on all levels.

 

Further, HE Dr. Ali bin Tamim hailed the initiative of the Arab Youth Center as it helps spreading awareness for the students and introduces them to the best international practices. This will enable students to develop a clear idea about their post-graduation careers, and the opportunity to select the media sector as a preferred career choice.

 

For his part, Abdul Rahman Awad Al Harthi, Executive Director of TV at Abu Dhabi Media said: “In line with its strategic objectives, Abu Dhabi Media succeeded in achieving diversity in order to provide a purposeful and diversified content that addresses the interest and preferences of all audience segments, while keeping their various media taste in mind.”

 

Al Harthi also noted that Abu Dhabi Media and Abu Dhabi TV network carefully designed their programs to achieve the government standards and aspirations. This placed Abu Dhabi channels on top of responsible Arab media that aims to build an aware and well-educated society.

 

The delegation also visited Abu Dhabi Media facilities, including Aletihad Newspaper, Digital Media Department, Abu Dhabi Radio Studios, TV Department, and News Studios of Abu Dhabi Media.

 

The visiting delegation included students from different Arab nationalities from the Arab Youth Center. The Center organizes a comprehensive program to visit all media orgaization in the UAE.

 

The visiting delegation was welcomed by HE Dr. Ali bin Tamim, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media, Abdul Rahman Awad Al Harthi, Executive Director of TV, Hamad Al Kaabi, Deputy Editor in Chief of Aletihad Newspaper, Dr. Sultan Faisal Al Remeithi is the Executive Director of Publishing Department, Abdullah Ahmad Al Zaabi, Executive Director of Radio, Talal Abdullah Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Support Services, Bashayer Al Mutairi, Editor-in-Chief of Zahrat Al Khaleej Magazine, in addition to a number of media figures at Abu Dhabi Media.
