National Archives Honors UPP in recognition of their training efforts
20 March 2017The National Archives honored the team of United Print and Publishing (UPP), one of the largest printing companies in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East, the printing arm and a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media, in recognition of their outstanding role in the training and development of trainees from the National Archives, as part of the efforts made to invest in the development of national human resources.
The ceremony was attended by Rabea Al-Sufaila, Chief Operating Officer of UPP, Farhan Hassan Al-Marzouqi, Director of Corporate and Social Communications at the National Archives, the trainees, Khalid Al Housani, Director of Government Communications, and Shehab Al Housani, Director of Support Services.
H.E. Mohammed Ebraheem Al Mahmoud, Managing Director and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Media, highly appreciated the honoring of the UPP Team by the National Archives, noting that UPP is keen to continue working and cooperating with government agencies to conduct further training courses and technical programs that contribute to transferring technical expertise in the field of printing and enhancing the performance and operational capabilities of the national human resources.
He stressed Abu Dhabi Media's commitment to strengthening the cooperation with its strategic partners and supporting national talents as part of its efforts to provide high quality and innovative service that will contribute to realizing the leadership vision, achievements of the UAE and supporting the aspirations of the UAE community.
The six-week course focused on the development of printing skills, covering all stages of printing from design and preparation to printing and final binding. The national archive team was able to identify the technical aspects of printing that would greatly contribute to the selection of suitable print designs, sizes, material and quality, professionally.
